Following a year of growth, new leadership poised to continue VitalPath’s expansion

NEW HOPE, Minn., May 02, 2023 – VitalPath, a designer and manufacturer of custom, highly complex catheter solutions, announced today that it has named Andrew Holman as its new chief executive officer. Holman brings 28 years of medical device experience to VitalPath and its customers, including leadership positions at both contract manufacturers and OEMs and deep knowledge of complex catheter-based devices.

Most recently, Holman was the chief commercial officer at Prytime Medical Devices, where he helped bring to market a novel balloon catheter for the trauma space. Previously, he was president of QMD, a $170 million global medical device outsourcing company specializing in end-to-end services for cardiology, vascular, endosurgical and critical care devices. Prior to that, he spent more than four years as chief commercial officer at Integer, which manufactures critical components for implantable pulse generators, vascular access devices, complex catheters, orthopedics implants and instruments, portable medical power solutions and energy applications. His early career included leadership roles at OEMs including Smith+Nephew, Johnson & Johnson and Boston Scientific.

Holman’s initial focus is on executing VitalPath’s strategic plan to drive profitable growth and to further integrate the company’s four Minneapolis-area facilities. “Andrew’s catheter experience in both the OEM and contract manufacturing spaces will serve VitalPath extremely well,” said Aliya Khaydarova, a VitalPath board member and managing principal at Inverness Graham, the majority owner of VitalPath. “Andrew brings the kind of customer-first mentality that will benefit VitalPath customers immensely.  The combination of this customer-centric leadership and our leading engineering, design-center, and manufacturing capabilities will facilitate expansion with current and new customers.”

“I’m honored and excited to take the helm at VitalPath,” Holman said. “I’ve had the opportunity to spend time at each of our four facilities, and I’m impressed with both the level of technical expertise in developing complex catheters and the level of commitment to meeting customer needs that I’ve seen across the board. I’m proud to be joining this team and look forward to working with everyone to guide our customers through their complex catheter projects, from start to finish.”

In 2022, VitalPath worked through industry-related supply chain challenges to ship products to serve its customers and support more than 500,000 patient procedures. With a new state-of-the art Design Center in New Hope, Minn., and increased supply chain stability, VitalPath is poised to serve an even greater number of customers leveraging its engineering services and operational capabilities.
