ROSEVILLE, Minn., March 14, 2022 — VitalPath, a manufacturer of custom, highly complex catheter solutions, recently announced three key management positions to support business growth and position the company to meet current and future customer needs. The move follows the company’s acquisition of a third Minneapolis-area facility in January 2022, bringing its total employees to more than 350.
Shawn Cheesman is the new Site Manager at VitalPath’s Cokato, MN facility. He brings a wealth of general management experience including overseeing manufacturing, operations, quality, and product development organizations. Previously, he served as General Manager at Lou-Rich, a contract manufacturer for a variety of industries, including medical equipment. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
Gary LaTraille is VitalPath’s new Director of Quality Assurance. Gary brings more than 25 years of broad experience in medical device QA /QC /Regulatory. Previously, he served as Director of Quality Assurance at Diversified Plastics. A familiar face, Gary has also conducted internal audits for us as an industry consultant. He has a bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University.
Tee Yang has accepted the newly created position of Director of Continuous Improvement (CI). A VitalPath team member for more than 10 years, he previously served as Director of Operations. Tee will oversee CI efforts at all 3 facilities, implementing a robust CI program to improve efficiencies and productivity, reduce cost, and implement Lean manufacturing.
