VitalDyne Medical announced a major facilities and personnel expansion to meet the growing demand for its precision manufacturing services for the medical device industry. “A 4,500 square-foot Class 7 cleanroom was added bringing VitalDyne Medical’s cleanroom manufacturing to over 12,500 square feet, and provides expansion space for our new medical projects in the ramp-up stages,” stated Michelle Zuelzke Vice President of Sales.
Three YAG laser tube cutting systems were recently added including a 6-axis laser system. With a total of 13 laser cutting systems, VitalDyne Medical has both very large and small volume capabilities for radius cutting as small as 0.002″ diameter in tube sizes from 0.020″ to 0.230″ with holes as small as 0.0005″ diameter. Medical materials processed by these systems include Nitinol, cobalt, stainless steel, chromium, plastic silicone and medical polymers including Teflon, PVC, Acrylic, Delrin, PTFE and others.
“As we phase in our new processes and equipment, new personnel have been added in our manufacturing and scheduling departments,” according to David Timmersman President. “We will continue hiring to meet customer demand with additional systems including automated processes. These are exciting times for VitalDyne Medical as we continue to grow and supply the dynamic medical device industry with high quality components and assemblies.”
VitalDyne Medical began operations two decades ago and has become an important manufacturer of implantable and surgical devices used in cardiovascular, neurology, vascular access, lead stimulation and other surgical procedures. The company manufactures complete device assemblies and packages them in Class 7 clean rooms. The company has medical device customers throughout the United States and Canada and operates in a 36,000 square-foot facility that is ISO 13485 certified and FDA approved to meet the needs of its partner customers.
